Backwaters

I am currently in a small, backwater Indian town called Rangia, on family related business, and trying to figure out the next steps of my life. Anyway, one of the first things that happens to you when you go visit someone is 1) get offered tea (usually with a bit too much sugar) and 2) get shown the family photo albums. Both can be excruciating experiences because 1) your teeth feel really horrible when you drink the tea because you don't want to be rude and 2) really? There's nothing worse than people shoving their carefully posed ugly mugs in front of what might have been an interesting landscape.

Anyway, since there isn't much to do here in Rangia (and boy do I really miss Oregon and all its interesting lichen and mosses), I've been utilizing my camera to take more people related pics. (believe me, I'd much rather be taking photos of lichens and mosses).
